1. SECRETARY OF STATE CLINTON HOSPITALIZED

Hillary Clinton is admitted to a New York City hospital for treatment of a blood clot stemming from the concussion she sustained earlier this month.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., and Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell remain at odds on such key issues as the income threshold for higher tax rates and how to deal with inheritance taxes.

3. PSYCHIATRIC TEST ORDERED

A 31-year-old woman accused of shoving a man to his death in front of a subway train because she believed he was Muslim is ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation.
